New friends, good coffee, good weather, historic neighborhood...what could be better for a Saturday morning?
We had been looking forward to the May long weekend for quite some time. We had plans to meet up with Tasha and Mark on their trip out to the coast from Kamloops. We love when we get the chance to meet couples before the big day! It is a great opportunity to get to know each other a little bit, and Tasha and Mark were SO great to spend the morning with! These two are so sweet!
Since we returned from our adventures back east, we have wanted to visit Revolver coffee shop in Gastown. This engagement session was planned for Gastown, so we asked Tasha and Mark to meet us there. This place has coffee down to a science! At the opening hour the place filled up immediately and it was easy to see why. The coffee making process was interesting to watch, it tasted delicious, and the atmosphere was cool and non-pretentious, which we loved! Did I just have coffee from Heart in Portland? So very cool.
Soon after we wandered right outside the shop window to begin shooting. These two were so easy going and didn't seem bothered at all when we asked them to cross the same street about ten times! (Things always look different from another perspective!) As expected, there was no shortage of interesting backdrops and locations in the historic part of the city. Every different textured wall, every different opening between buildings - all of it made for great photo ops!
Take a look through some of our favourites. So glad these two worked us into their weekend plans! We are really looking forward to the beautiful Okanagan wedding this summer!
